World Youth Day Pictures

So I went out with some friends last night and again tonight...and it landed us right in the middle of World Youth Day festivities.. It was great! The mood was amazing, so much energy and singing in sooo many different languages. There were ppl every were, from every were drapped in a flags or waving a flags (and meeting ppl with the same flag and yelling and dancing =) ). When on the train or the bus or a tram and stopped, there were always ppl banging on the windows because they recognized a flag or logo within the vehicle, or starting a LOUD song inside and outside the PACKED vehicle. Here are just some pictures I took. On our way through the city center tonight there were some concerts so we stopped and enjoyed the entertainment. On the way home from one concert we walked through a square were a concert had been held earlier and the stage had been taken down to reveal a Church and hundreds if not thousands of ppl lighting candels and praying, and music. There was a few guys walking around calmly at the "entrances" to the square with SILENCE signs to quiet the patriotic chants (they get sooo loud). So there was a square in the middle of a big city with thousands of ppl around and it was quiet.. soo strange....
I will update on what I am actually doing soon, but it's getting late!

You defenatly shoulda stolen one of those "SILENCE" signs and ran. It would have been an adventure of epic perportions! Did you meet anyone from Canada at the Youth dealie? I knew a guy from Leadership Camp that was there with a big group of Canadains. Would be funny if ya met him.
